Taste of Home: Sweet and Soft Vanilla French Toast

What could be a better way to spend your Sunday Morning than waking up to a best friend's call at 11:30 in the morning, have a sweet and homemade French Toast brunch and go back to fall asleep again? I will leave you to envy that, while I reveal the secret to the Sexy mouthwatering FrenchToast.

                                            Vanilla French Toast Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 slices bread (I used Texa's whole wheat)
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk in 4 eggs and add in milk, sugar, vanilla extract and salt.
2. One by one, soak the bread into the mixture, each side for about 15-20 seconds.
3. Mean while, heat up a greased pan, and cook each toast until both sides are golden.
4. Ready to serve.

Tricks and Tips:
1. Thick slices of bread always make the best french toast.
2. Don't soak the bread slices for too long as they my get very soggy and too soft to pick up.
3. Add some berries to garnish, it adds colour to the dish and balances out the sweetness of the french toast and is also very nutritious and healthy for breakfast.
4. You can also serve it with some cinnamon, cocoa, maple syrup, icing sugar, whipping cream or even better: ice-cream.

I hope you enjoy it!
